Wanted to let everyone know of a great body and paint guy right here in Ventura. He helped me out in the past on my other cars. Recently needed a little repair to the Cobra and knowing he was a restorer and what a great job he did on the cars. I had him do the repair and paint. He matched the paint perfectly and the glass work was perfect. I highly recommend him for anyone interested.
His name is
Tom Baca 805 / 701-3610. Located at 1555 Morse Ave. #D Ventura, Ca. 93003

I have used Tom Baca for years to do various cars I have restored. He is indeed a very good painter. Several of you who hang out at the Calabasas car gathering every Sunday know my 1967 red Chevy II and Tom did the paint of that car. He is easy to work with and has been painting award winning cars since he was a teenager. chris allen
I had a guy, Ron, at T.R.C. Transmissions, 10140 Topanga Canyon Blvd. (818) 882-0082, (800) 987-2676 do a really good repair on my clutch replacement on my ERA replica when another so-called top notch shop buggered it up. He was easy to work with and very knowledgeable. He does differential work and I am going to use him shortly to rebuilt the stock (6 cyl.) 10 bolt on my 1967 Chevy II into a new diff. with a posi unit and new 3.73:1 gears and axels. He gave me a price of $1,100 to do that work which is reasonable according to my research. He is familiar with Cobras and really loves the cars. If you call him mention my name and my midnight blue 289 FIA that he did the clutch on and you may even get a bit of a price break....who knows. Anyway, he is a decent fella.

Okay
I'll get in touch with him sometime in the future when I get a few more $$$ saved up ![]()
Thanks
John:
Sorry I did not get to this sooner, but Charlie sent all my rearend work over to Mark @ Coast Driveline here in ventura, he did the cobra and mustang, both work perfect. He is a great guy and also does alot of the sprint car stuff. He really knows his stuff.
Finally got around to having Tom Baca paint the whole car, looks like I should get it back this week just in time for the lunch, but will not be able to be there, going to the Peterson Museum swap meet.
The cobra looked absolutely incredible and it had not even been wet sanded after 4-coats of clear. Very anxious to see final product.
Will post pics when done.
He once again matched the paint perfectly.
